Cannes Film Festival: Katrina Kaif

With Cannes Film Festival just last week, there's a lot to be said about the Bollywood actresses on show, from Aishwarya Rai to Sonam Kapoor to the undoubtedly beautiful katrina Kaif. Her amazing outfits on the red carpet stole the show, as she showcased two of the most elegant gowns of the night. Loreal' Paris were her make-up sponsors, pulling off an amazing look not to mention her burgundy hair. Below are some designer pieces she wore on the red carpet.

This look below incorporates the idea of chic elegance. The lace on the dress makes the entire outfit look very well put together. Hew minimal jewellery and her make-up on point, showcases her class and poise.

The following look below displays Katrina Kaif just before her interview. Her effortless curls and absolutely stunning dress, not to mention her burgundy hair creates such an ensemble, one to be looked upon and complemented on.

The following look below, was actually one of my favourites, the red just looked absolutely stunning on Katrina. She definitely pulled it off even though it was a red carpet event, she stood out from the crowd. Her simple yet strong make-up definitely creates a dominant effect. Hair, sleeked back to create that clean and crisp look, is definitely suiting Katrina at the Cannes Film Festival.

Celebrity Profile: Ed Westwick

Ed Westwick, or perhaps better known as Chuck Bass from the hit chick-flick "Gossip Girl", is simply the epitome of the word "class".

From his seductive ways, to his crisp looks, he flaunts elegance.

Westwick was born in 1987, England. His career, although successful, was not, and remains, relatively narrow. He was nominated for a number of awards between 2008 - 2012; perhaps the prime of his career. Though, just because his career isn't in the spotlight any more, it definitely doesn't mean that his style isn't either!

Westwick has always been about the double breasted suits, the accessories, and the, perhaps, more 'acquired' goodies. He's a real hit with the ladies - which may we add, he does real well!

Despite all his money and fame though, Westwick's biggest asset, has perhaps been his cocky personality. I think it's fair to say, he puts the "I" in fashion, and puts an "I" in style.

When he's off the big screen though, Westwick loves to kick back and relax in his comfiest clothes. He doesn't need to impress anyone! Check out the pictures below of his casual wear!

Jacqueline Fernandez: Style Icon of the week!

She is one of the hottest actresses Bollywood has every seen. Yes, we’re talking about Jacqueline Fernandez, who has an undeniably sexy persona. Talking about her style, Jackie can transform from experimental to classic in a jiffy. The beauty understands her body very well and knows how to fit in the style calender with ease. With strong sense of fashion combined with personal style, the Sri Lankan babe is all set to become the next poster girl of Bollywood.

Miss Fernandez was recently spotted in the Turquoise & Gold top, paired with blue skirt, nude sandals and a Chloé Elise bag. A very easy, breezy look, the top just got added to our lust list. Must say, not a very easy one to wear but the girl does a brilliant job. We’ve suddenly become a big fan of her fashion choices, and her personality just oozes through. She’s always so effortlessly beautiful. We love!

Here’s proof that Jacqueline can also rock the desi look as well as anything else. She attended the big Khan reception in a gorgeous Anamika Khan ensemble. Highlight of the look? Those dazzling and dangling earrings.

Jacqueline isn't hesitant at all to slip into a  casual comfy clothes after a shoots, but still remain looking cute and stylish! Jackie is wearing a Moschino Cheap N Chic t-shirt dress, she paired it with white sandals and a burgundy tote. I think Jacqueline nails summer style to the T (pun intended). I love that she swept her hair into a high ponytail and sported a bright pink lippie. Girls, start taking notes!

Women's Formal Dinner Attire

Dinner Parties

Getting ready for a dinner party is really confusing and stressful with a lot of different types of dinner parties out there, on top of that deciding on what to were is some thing women have trouble on deciding.

I am not Judging anyone out there.

So i am going to go through what kind of dress is expected at a party so  that will make the stress of getting ready for a Formal dinner party a little easier.

ok lets get started with:

White Tie:

Dressing for white tie events you have to be careful as they are the relatively strict attire requirements. So when attending one of these events you would want to dress appropriately.

For this Event you should were:

• Formal Evening were / Full-Skirted ball gown
• Jewelry - ( lots of it, but not too much)
• Fur wrap
• Long White Gloves 

Some hosts wont mind if u don't were the fur wrap or long white gloves, but its always best to make sure before making a decision.

Black Tie Mandatory:

Black tie events are less formal but there are many different kinds of black Tie events and ill go over some not all,so it is very important that you read the invitation to make sure that you have the correct attire to the event

For a Formal Black Tie event you should were:

• Floor length Gown
• Dark and elegant color of your dress
• Carry a purse or clutch
• Sparklier jewelry
• Undergarments should not be visible
• Evening Shoes

Since Black tie events are normally held at night so if it's chilly were a traditional overcoat

Black Tie Creative:

Black tie creative basically means that the event is formal but you are allowed to be a little more flexible and flashier with your choice of clothing. So for this 1 you still will have to follow the main points from the Black Tie Mandatory but instead of the Dark elegent color for your dress you will be able to choose your own color. The jewelry you choose to were can be unique for example you can go to the event wearing a tiara.

Cocktail Events:

A cocktail party is traditionally  a pre-dinner party, which means you should be wearing a  tasteful short evening dress. When looking for a Cocktail dress should look for:

• Hemlines are short or slightly above the knee

you can also were pants, which in case you will have to

• Long dressy pants
• Silk blouse 
• if need be a cashmere sweater 

The dresses can be strapless and flashy to a more conservative black dress.

Lounge:

It will be very rare that you are invited to a lounge event, but in the off chance you are invited to a lounge event you should know that a lounge event has the same dress code as a cocktail events.

Ok now that i have gone through what you should be wearing all you have to do is decide on a dress and do your make up and you will be ready.

Accessories are a great way to jazz up any outfit! Accessories can include a whole range of different things, some of which people don’t even know about!

Accessories are one of my favourite tools because they’re often, very inexpensive. Further, it usually isn’t too difficult to borrow things like this because they’re almost always, a one-size-fits-all. Because of their cheap nature, it’s affordable to have a range of the same accessories, which in turn allows you to have variations which may complement your outfit. I’ve attached a video below about accessorizing which is a great starting point. Don’t rely on these too much – even if you’re not comfortable! The reason i’m pushing this so much, is because often, if you go wrong, people don’t realise. The reason is that accessories can be overlooked very easily.

Deepika Padukone- Style Icon of the week!

Hi my fashionistas, thought I'd change things up a bit and talk about someone who I admire and look up to, in terms of fashion. Bollywood's number one "it" girl at the moment, Deepika Padukone, who has graced the covers of many style magazines and has been idolised for her effortless, yet chic style. 

She is always seen wearing elegant and simple pieces, whilst adding some bling or accessories to tie the entire outfit together, she definitely knows what works for her body and never steps a foot wrong in the world of fashion. 

Today's main focus will be on Deepika's maxi dresses and skirts, as she is nine times out of ten, seen "rocking" them. I will walk you through some of her most noticed and appreciated looks below. 

This look is beautiful, Deepika hasn't bombarded the look with too many items, she's kept it clean, with a simple red lip and one statement piece, her necklace. She finishes her look with her hair pulled back to show off that gorgeous necklace and make-up kept to the minimal.

This dressier look of Deepika definitely fulfils the brief of classy, yet elegant. Her statement gold skirt is the main focus of the look, she' paired the look with a simple clutch and kept the look once again very clean. Her naturally curly hair, gives the outfit that extra "oomph".

Below is a make-up tutorial worn by Deepika at the IIFA Awards 2014.. This look is recreated by "KushalBeauty" and walks you through the essentials in creating the look. 

The "boho" look below, is paired perfectly with a maroon lip, again with very minimal jewellery, Deepika has opted for a dark brown waist belt and clutch, which complement the outfit exceptionally well. The theme of this look makes me think of winter, how about you? Personally, this is one of my favourite looks of Deepika, it's absolutely girly, yet very well put together.

With the below look, Deepika has definitely opted for the beachy vibe. She's kept it simple with a pair of "sunnies" and some basic beach sandals. Also, she's added some wrist bracelets to pull the entire look together, not to mention the subtle waves in her hair.

Chinese modern women fashion

 Women always is the front line of fashion. Every women hope she will be the most beautiful one. Chinese women also like this. Modern China is not in seclusion. Chinese women can touch different fashion in the world. If that style is pretty, they will have a try firstly. In my community, the Chinese girl almost use 70% time to discuss the clothes, style and cosmetic. Therefore, Chinese modern women fashion is not in one or ten style. That include every beautiful “feel” in the world.

The first Style covers tradition. It usually use the cheongsam element. This “cheongsam” is not like tradition authentically. It is compacter and shorter. This style gives person an elegant and classical temperament but is not stiff.

The second one is similar to new Korean style. This style does not have constant regular collocation. They may be a shirt and a pant. They may be just a dress.

The third style be called a combination of Chinese and Western. It uses open manner boldly. This style cannot match Chinese felling before. It is not conservative.

Chinese modern women fashion is not in monotonous style. On the contrary, they try the new fashion gladly. There are only one purpose in front of them. that is "beauty".
